Street Art: Art & Design Microsite

This project was for an Art & Design Microsite assignment. We were to create a one-page website using HTML and CSS to represent a period or style from art or design history. The goals were to familiarize users with the style, capture their interest through examples, and offer resources to dive deeper, while gaining experience with information architecture, visual design, and interactive techniques.

My microsite centers on street art, with a focus on works that feature animals and bold, vibrant colors. It includes a brief history of street art, spotlights of key artists, and a gallery of eye-catching pieces that showcase the unique creativity and energy of these different artists.

The design is intentionally clean and responsive, using bold contrasts and immersive imagery to mirror the visual impact of street art while keeping the spotlight on the work itself. By balancing aesthetics with usability, the site reflects my skills in information architecture, visual design, and responsive coding while showcasing how artistic inspiration can be thoughtfully translated into a digital experience.
